Welcome to A Ray of Sunshine Home Health, where we provide compassionate, customized in-home care. Below is a detailed list of our services, including both personal care and skilled nursing, tailored to meet the needs of our clients across all levels of health and independence.
Personal Care Services (Non-Skilled)
Gentle monitoring and cleansing to help prevent skin breakdown and maintain comfort.
Support with safe walking and mobility to reduce fall risk and encourage independence.
Dignified help with showering or bed baths to maintain hygiene and confidence.
Help with choosing and putting on clothes based on weather, comfort, and personal style.
Guided movement and stretching routines as prescribed to preserve strength and flexibility.
Support with eating and drinking, including safe swallowing guidance when needed.
Hair brushing, styling, and scalp care to promote self-esteem and hygiene.
Assistance with brushing teeth or dentures, rinsing, and oral hygiene routines.
Non-clinical nail trimming and filing for hands and feet (within safe scope of practice).
Support to turn and reposition bed-bound clients to prevent pressure injuries.
Assistance with facial or body shaving, promoting hygiene and well-being.
Assistance with using the restroom or commodes in a respectful, safe manner.
Help getting in/out of bed, chairs, or wheelchairs using proper lifting techniques.
Gentle prompting to take medications on schedule (non-dosing).

Care Management
We will work with you to create a customized plan of care, and manage it every step of the way. Our experienced team of care management specialists, RNs, and friendly companions who can provide transportation if needed are there to ensure the highest quality of care is consistently provided.

Your needs are important to us
Our office team will be able to assist you and your family with the care and support you deserve. Whether it’s for just a few hours a day (4 hour minimum) or 24 hours a day, your time with your caregiver will be worry-free.
Skilled Nursing Services
Professional assessment and treatment of chronic wounds, surgical incisions, or pressure ulcers.
Blood sugar monitoring, insulin injections, and client education to manage diabetes effectively.
RN-administered medications, reconciliation, and teaching to avoid errors or interactions.
Monitoring, cleaning, and changing urinary catheters to prevent infection and complications.
Assessment, education, and maintenance of colostomy or ileostomy sites.
Administration of nutrition through PEG or NG tubes, plus site monitoring.
Blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen level checks to track health status.
Evaluation and administration of prescribed pain control measures in coordination with the physician.
Skilled administration of injections or IV antibiotics, fluids, or medications as ordered.
Personalized nursing education for chronic conditions like COPD, CHF, hypertension, or CKD.

Peace of Mind for Our Clients and Their Families
When routine tasks become too much to handle alone, A Ray of Sunshine Home Health offers hourly services to assist our clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, medication reminders, errands and much more. By helping with daily activities, our hourly home caregivers enable clients to maintain their normal routines and independence, while staying in the comfort of their home.
Our professional caregivers are dedicated to the overall wellbeing of their clients. We are on call to serve you 24/7, so help is available immediately. There is no long-term commitment with hourly home care from A Ray of Sunshine Home Health. Use our services for as long as you need them
Each caregiver is experienced in caring for seniors and undergoes a thorough background check to ensure the safety of our clients. To maintain professionalism our live-in caregivers are only allowed at the client’s home during assigned hours and must have their own separate residence. They are strictly forbidden from using their client’s property for personal use.
We make it our everday goal to make sure that each client, not only benefits, but also feels a little more joy and peace by the service we bring along with our “whatever the client needs” attitude. We plan on setting our service apart from other agencies, by simply striving to always input and insert graceful and comforting treatment.
If services include use of the client’s personal funds:
The Agency will obtain an authorization from the client/responsible party, for access to personal funds when grocery or other shopping services are to be provided and when those services include assistance with bill paying or any activities, such as shopping, that involve access to or use of client funds.
